Holy Orders

In our class we have been learning about Holy Orders. Holy orders is a sacrament of commitment. Holy orders is when an ordinary man becomes a priest to be closer to God. It means that they marry God. The bishop decides who the new priest will be. The bishop calls the name of the man and they reply esum it means I’m present, it is also lantern. The priest always anoints the new priest with oil on the hands first. The symbols of the holy orders are chrism oil and laying of the hands. Only the bishop does the laying of the hands. The priest lay on the ground before they get anointed by the bishop so they turn into a priest, they also have to get baptized again before you turn into a priest.
